A series of seminars for practicing basketball coaches and specialists starts in St. Petersburg

The Zenit Basketball Club, the St. Petersburg Basketball Federation, Lesgaft National State University and Herzen University, as part of their cooperation agreements for the development of basketball, announce the start of a series of seminars and masterclasses.

The event program is aimed at coaches, specialists from basketball organizations and institutions, competition organizers, league managers, students of specialized fields and athletes. Entry is free for all interested participants.

The first seminar will take place on March 25 at 17:00 at the blue-whites' Basketball Academy (Severnaya Road, 12). It will be led by Zenit-2 head coach Oliver Popovic and Zenit 2008 head coach Petar Marinkovic (both from Serbia). During the session, the specialists will share their methodologies and approaches to the training process and discuss the development of young basketball players in Serbia. An open training session of Zenit’s farm team will also be held, allowing attendees to see the principles of the Serbian coaching school in action.

In April and May, masterclasses will be conducted by Zenit’s head coach Xavi Pascual (Spain), head of the High School of Coaches Sergey Elevich (Russia), and Zenit’s strength and conditioning coach Jure Drakslar (Slovenia).
