Zenit’s reserve team will play against Yugra away
On Monday, March 10, Zenit-2 will play its final away match of the Fonbet Super League regular season. This time, Oliver Popovic's squad will face Surgut’s Universitet Yugra.
The opposing team currently sits in 10th place in the standings and has gained momentum in recent games. Over the past six matches, the Siberian team has secured five victories, losing only to CSKA-2 in Moscow. These results keep Yugra in the fight for a playoff spot.
The home team’s top scorer is forward Kirill Salmin, who averages 12 points per Super League game.
The first-round encounter ended with a dominant victory for blue-whites, 102:75. In total, the teams have faced each other five times, with Zenit-2 winning three games and Yugra winning two.

Zenit-2 head coach Oliver Popovic on the upcoming game in Surgut:
We have three games left before the playoffs: one away and two at home. The first of these is against Surgut, a team that plays particularly well on its home court. The outcome of these three games will determine whether we secure home-court advantage for the quarterfinals. The first step towards that goal must be taken tomorrow. We expect a tough game.
The match will start at 17:00 St. Petersburg time. The broadcast will be available on the Russian Basketball Federation’s website.
