Two Zenit children's youth teams advance to the Final Eight of the Russian U19 Championship
The second round of the Semifinal stage of the Russian U19 Championship has concluded. Based on the results of the past games, two teams from the Zenit Basketball Academy have qualified for the final stage of the Children's Youth Basketball League.
From January 26 to 31, games in group "P2-2" took place on the court of the "Zvezdny" sports complex in Saratov. Zenit U19 won all five matches, securing first place and an early qualification for the Final Eight of the Children's Youth Basketball League after their fourth victory. The second team, Zenit 2008, defeated the local Avtodor Basketball School, Metallurg from Magnitogorsk, and Samara’s Samara’s SSOR №13 CYBL. Despite a loss to Samara-CYBL, they also secured a spot in the finals after four matches. On January 31, in the final game of the Saratov stage, the teams coached by Dmitry Nikolaev and Petar Marinkovic faced each other, with Zenit U19 emerging victorious with a score of 92:65.

Meanwhile, Zenit 2009 competed in group "P2-6" with games held at the "Stary Sobol" sports school in Nizhny Tagil from January 27 to 31. The blue-whites won two out of four matches, finishing second in their group. Vladislav Shumkov's squad will now proceed to the third round of the Semifinal stage of the Russian U19 Championship.
