Zenit children's youth teams prepare to compete in the second Semifinal of the Russian junior Championship

From January 26 to 31, the second round of the Semifinal stage of the Russian Junior Championship for players under 19 will take place. The matches of group "P2-2", where Zenit U19 competes, will be held in Saratov at the "Zvezdny" sports complex.

The head coach of the blue-whites team Dmitry Nikolaev shared his thoughts on the next stage of the Children's Youth Basketball League:

I am looking forward to interesting games in the upcoming round. We have done a lot of work, and now it’s time to show in matches what we have been preparing for. I want to see quality basketball, burning eyes, emotions, and the guys' dedication in every game moment.

In the same group as Zenit U19, Zenit 2008, coached by Petar Marinkovic, will also compete. Additionally, their opponents include the local Avtodor Basketball School, Samara’s SSOR №13 CYBL and Samara-CYBL, as well as Magnitogorsk’s Metallurg.

Zenit 2009, led by Vladislav Shumkov, also is continuing their campaign in the Russian U19 Championship. From January 27 to 31, they will play in group "P2-6" in Nizhny Tagil. Their opponents will include MBA-Academy (Moscow), SSOR №2 Juventa (Tolyatti), Olimpiets (Perm), and Dynamo (Vladivostok).
