Walter studied in the USA, but started his professional career in his homeland, Puerto Rico. He then came to Europe to play first for Zielona Gora, where he spent three years, and then for the Spanish Caja Laboral. That season didn't go well for him, and he went on loan back to his homeland. And in the summer of 2014, he ended up at Zenit.
