Johnny Juzang was born on March 17, 2001, in Los Angeles, California (USA). At the youth level, Johnny represented the local Harvard-Westlake School for three seasons before announcing in 2019 his decision to play for the Wildcats — the basketball team of the University of Kentucky in the NCAA.
After not receiving sufficient playing time, the guard transferred from Kentucky to the University of California, Los Angeles ahead of his sophomore season. In the 2020/21 campaign, Juzang was one of the team’s leaders and helped the UCLA Bruins reach the NCAA Final Four for the first time in 13 years, earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
The 2021/22 season was his last in California, after which he declared for the 2022 NBA Draft but went undrafted. Johnny played for the Utah Jazz in the NBA Summer League and then signed a two-way contract with the club. The guard made his NBA debut on February 28, 2023, in a game against the San Antonio Spurs. The 2024/25 season became Juzang’s most productive in the NBA. He appeared in 64 games that year, averaging 8.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game.
Juzang spent three years in Utah (also playing for the affiliate Salt Lake City Stars), before joining the Minnesota in the summer of 2025. In 2025/26 season, Johnny played 21 games for the Timberwolves, averaging 2.0 points and 0.8 rebounds in 4.2 minutes per game.
Overall, the Los Angeles native has played 123 NBA games (23 as a starter) over four seasons with Minnesota and Utah, averaging 6.9 points and 2.2 rebounds in 16 minutes per game.
In February 2026, the guard left Minnesota and joined Zenit.
