Zenit vs Uralmash. Game 2 preview

April 23, 2024

Zenit hosts Game 2 of the quarterfinal series against Ura;mash Yekaterinburg in St. Petersburg (April 24, Wendnesday, 6:30 PM).

In the first game Zenit confidently won, seizing a significant advantage already during the first half. However, after a long break, it was morally difficult for the team to play at the same pace, and Uralmash managed to slightly reduce the gap – from 29 points, which Zenit had in the middle of the third period, to 16.

The center of the guests, Octavius Ellis, scored 30 points. However, as Sergey Karasev noted at the post-game press conference, it is not so important for Zenit how many points the leader of Uralmash will score, and he can score 30 points in each game, if at the same time Zenit wins by +30. You can't argue with Karasev.
