Welcome back, Kyle!

June 29, 2023

Basketball club Zenit is happy to welcome Kyle Kuric back to the team, a player well-known to our fans. The American guard has signed a two-season contract.

Kyle previously played for our team in the 2017/18 season, after which he spent five seasons with Barcelona. During that time, he won the Spanish championship twice, in 2021 and 2023, and secured the national cup three times, in 2020, 2021, and 2022. Additionally, Kuric claimed victory in the Spanish Supercup in 2016 with Gran Canaria and was named an MVP.

Zenit GM Alexandr Tserkovny:

– Kuric is one of the best snipers in Europe. After Kyle left Zenit, every newcomer in his position was invariably compared to him by both fans and experts. I am very pleased with his comeback and confident that he will be just as significant for the team in the upcoming season.

The 33-year-old guard had his career game when he scored 34 points against Enisey Krasnoyarsk in the VTB United League while playing for Zenit.

In the recently concluded Euroleague season, Kuric averaged 5 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 0.7 steals per game. Throughout his EuroLeague career, he has averaged 8 points per game. In the last Spanish championship, which Barcelona won, Kuric averaged 7.1 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.

The American guard also holds Slovak citizenship.

Welcome back to St. Petersburg, Kyle!
