Zenit vs Enisey. Preview

December 12, 2025
Tomorrow, December 13, Zenit will face Enisey in the VTB United League. The previous meeting with the Krasnoyarsk team ended in an away defeat for the Blue-White-Sky Blues. However, now Aleksander Sekuliс’s team will try to take revenge on their home court. Here is our preview of the upcoming matchup.

Opponent

After victories over Pari NN and Zenit in the 7th and 8th rounds of the regular season, Enisey extended their winning streak with two more home successes — against Samara and Uralmash. Their push for a five-game streak was stopped by UNICS: the game in Kazan ended with a confident win for the greens. But before the break for the national teams’ matches, Enisey defeated Avtodor (again at home), strengthening their position in the standings.

Unlike Zenit, Enisey has played only one game after the break — against MBA-MAI, which ended in a crushing 61:93 home defeat. However, despite this, the team from Krasnoyarsk — which started the season with six straight losses — remains in the playoff zone thanks to a successful run in November.

The key to Enisey’s victories is often the performance of their trio of foreign players, who lead the team in scoring: Danilo Tasic(14.5 points per game), Artis Diminic (12.3), and Matt Coleman (11.3).

Head-to-head

The first-round game of the regular season in Krasnoyarsk ended in favor of the hosts — 83:78. However, much has changed since November 1: the blue-white-sky blues have added two new players to their roster, and injured team members have gradually returned to action. Despite Enisey’s previous success, the overall head-to-head record still favors St. Petersburg — 28:2.

Direct speech

Zenit head coach Aleksander Sekulic before the home game:

It was a very painful loss for us in Krasnoyarsk. But the circumstances are different now. We have different lineup, we play home game. We are not going to think about that game, we want to focus on things we want to do better that we did in previous game. To know how to defend, how to execute plan on the court. We need to treat this game like a final. Next game is the most important.

Who. Where. When.
