Children's youth teams completed their performance in the preliminary round of the CYBL

The reigning champion of the Russian U19 Championship — Zenit U19 — began the season undefeated, securing victories over Lokomotiv Kuban-CYBL (91:67), Kupol Rodniki (126:58), Novosibirsk (109:71), SSOR Lokomotiv Kuban-CYBL (89:77), and SSOR №13 CYBL (74:57). Dmitry Nikolaev's team finished first in Group E, with matches held in Krasnodar from October 15 to 20.

Another two teams from the Blue-White-Sky Blues played at the Kupchinsky Olimp in St. Petersburg from October 16 to 21. Following the preliminary round, Zenit-2009, coached by Vladislav Shumkov, achieved four victories and secured second place in Group G, losing in the final match to PARMA-CYBL with a score of 55:86. Competing in the same group, Zenit-2010, led by Vadim Dodeus, won one match against Kaliy Basket (64:57) and finished the tournament in fifth place.
