The Kondrashin and Belov Cup granted official status

The Vladimir Kondrashin and Alexander Belov Cup has received official status and has been included in the calendar of events under the auspices of the Russian Basketball Federation.

This year, the traditional preseason tournament will once again take place in St. Petersburg at the CSC Arena. The semifinal matches between Zenit and Dynamo, as well as UNICS and BETCITY PARMA, will be held on September 8, while the final and the match for third place will take place on September 9. Tickets are available on the official website of the Blue-White-Sky Blues team: DAY 1 and DAY 2.

Since the revival of the Cup in 2021, a special committee will be established for the first time to determine the symbolic five players of the tournament. The committee includes:

— Honoured master of sports of the USSR, European and world champion Alexandra Ovchinnikova;

— Honored coach of Russia Vyacheslav Borodin;

— Press attache of the St. Petersburg Basketball Federation Konstantin Osipov;

— Correspondent of Match TV Oleg Aleksashin;

— Chief referee of the tournament, All-Russian category referee Igor Demenkov.
