Vladislav Emchenko joined Zenit!
Zenit Basketball Club and guard Vladislav Emchenko have agreed to cooperate. The 25-year-old Russian national team player has signed a two-year contract, which will run through the end of the 2026/27 season.
Vladislav was born in Krasnodar and began playing basketball at the Lokomotiv Kuban Academy, working his way up from youth teams to the main squad. Since 2020, the guard had been playing for the Lokomotiv Kuban first team, steadily increasing his playing time each season and becoming an important presence on the court.
With Loko, Emchenko became a silver medalist in the VTB United League and the Russian Championship in the 2022/23 season, and also won silver in the 2023 Superсup. At that time, the Krasnodar team was led by the current Zenit head coach, Aleksander Sekulic.
In the recent 2024/25 season, the Russian player appeared in 58 games in the VTB United League, averaging 6.3 points, 2.1 assists, 1.8 rebounds and 0.8 steals per game.
Since 2021, Vladislav has been a regular member of the Russian national team and has served as team captain for the past two seasons. In August 2024, the guard was named the best player of the international Friendship Cup.
The Blue-White-Sky Blues welcome Vladislav Emchenko to Saint Petersburg and wish him great success on the court as part of Zenit!
