Trent Frazier: "We was mentally prepared to have whatever come at us"
Guard of the blue-whites Trent Frazier in an interview for Zenit TV commented on the away victory over Avtodor (60:79) in the 26th round of the VTB United League. The player scored 18 points and made 5 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals in the last game.
— Trent congratulations on the victory. What are your impressions from the match against Avtodor?
— So, I thought we did a good job for four quarters tonight, just playing really hard and physical and just was mentally prepared to come in here and have whatever come at us. Because we knew it was gonna be a hard game. That's a good basketball club over there. Like I said, we did a good job of just being focused with the game plan and being really physical.
— The year 2025 has had a difficult start, with victories alternating with defeats. What, in your opinion, is the reason?
— It's a long season. There's going to be some losses, and there's going to be a lot of wins, which we have. I think we're in a good spot right now as far as where we want to be. We're in the top four, you know, we're close to the first position. So that's our mindset, next game mentality. Obviously, we lost a few but we can't let those do all on our season as far as we've been playing really well all season. We just got to continue to stay on track and continue to play hard and be physical and just go on every game with a mindset and just ready to fight.
— Ahead is the match with Samara. What are the opponent's strengths?
— Every team is really good. It's obviously really challenging to play on the road with different fans. Like I said, we've got to come in every night with the mindset, no matter who we're playing, and be ready to just fight. That's what it starts with, being very physical and having the mindset just to battle.
— Today you were the most productive player on the court. What do you think about that?
— I thought offensively, coach put me in some really good positions on offense. I had a lot of good reads. Obviously my teammates trust me with the ball in my hands to make the right play. I made a few threes here down the stretch, but like I said, I mean, offensively we did a great job tonight of just sharing the basketball, playing with each other and just having fun out there, and that's where our offense was really good at tonight.
