Zenit cruised past Samara in Russian Cup

On Wednesday, January 17, our team continued the battle for the Russian Cup. Zenit's opponent in the quarterfinals was Samara, and our team had to play two games against them. The first meeting took place on the banks of the Volga.

The coaching staff decided not to include the second foreign player in the lineup for the game. The first, as in the case with Tambov, was Trent Frazier, while the place for the second foreign legionnaire remains vacant – Zenit may include him in the future.

As for the game itself, our team quickly gained the advantage with several consecutive long-range shots, steadily increasing the lead until the end of the first half. By halftime, the difference reached 21 points, and thereafter, Zenit did not encounter major problems in securing the victory.
