Nate Mason was born on July 25, 1995, in Jacksonville, Florida, USA. He played college basketball at the University of Minnesota. Throughout his professional career, Mason has played in Israel, Russia, Germany, China, Puerto Rico, France, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
During the 2020/21 season, Mason represented Avtodor Saratov, averaging 14.9 points and 6.2 assists per game. He finished among the top five assist leaders in the VTB United League and earned a selection to the league's All-Star Game. Following his stint with Avtodor, Mason went on to play for the Guangzhou Loong Lions and Le Mans before joining Dubai Basketball ahead of the 2024/25 season.
In summer of 2026 Nate Mason joined Zenit St. Petersburg.
