Andre Roberson was born on December 4, 1991, in Las Cruces, New Mexico (USA). After graduating from high school, he enrolled at the University of Colorado in Boulder, where he played for the Colorado Buffaloes for three years in the NCAA, demonstrating some of the best rebounding stats in the tournament.
Roberson was selected with the 26th overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves, but was later acquired by the Oklahoma City Thunder on draft night. On July 12, he signed a contract following a strong performance in the Summer League. In his rookie season, he also played for the Thunder’s G-League affiliate. Roberson spent seven years with Oklahoma, appearing in a total of 328 NBA games and reaching the playoff semifinals in 2016.
In January 2018, he ruptured his left patellar tendon against the Detroit Pistons. Roberson underwent surgery the following day and was subsequently ruled out for the rest of the season. Due to complications and additional injuries, the forward would miss more than two years of action. On August 1, 2020, Roberson played in his first NBA game in over two years, logging five minutes in a win over the Utah Jazz. After recovering from injury, he had a short stint with the Brooklyn Nets (5 NBA games), and in the 2022/23 season, he played for the Oklahoma City Blue, the Thunder’s G-League affiliate.
In 2024, the forward relaunched his career overseas for the first time. He began the 2024/25 season with French club Cholet before attracting the attention of French basketball powerhouse and EuroLeague participant ASVEL. In the summer of 2025, Andre joined Zenit.
