From 2016 to 2019, Dmitry played for Nizhny Novgorod. With the Nizhny Novgorod team, the forward reached the finals of the Russian Cup twice. In the summer of 2019, Uzinskiy transferred to UNICS Kazan, where he also spent three seasons. During that time, he earned bronze and silver medals in the VTB United League and the Russian Championship, won bronze in the Supercup, reached the EuroCup final in the 2020/21 season, and made his debut in the EuroLeague.
Next club was Lokomotiv Kuban from Krasnodar. The Russian forward joined the railroaders in 2022 and soon became team captain. With Loko, Dmitry reached the VTB United League final and became a Supercup silver medalist. At that time, the Krasnodar team was led by Zenit's current head coach, Aleksander Sekulic.
In July 2025, Dmitry Uzinskiy joined Zenit.
