Game 2 Recap
That game was much better than the first one. If in the opening game of the series the red-blues looked fresher than our players (which was logical, given the exhausting series against Uralmash), then in the next match the warriors of Xavi Pascual looked much more ready — both physically and mentally.
Zenit took over the advantage of 9 points in the first quarter and subsequently defended this handicap, sometimes running a little ahead, then letting the army team in, but not too close. As a result, it was a confident victory for our team, which was able to avoid even a nervous ending.
Separately, we note the same thing that both the players and the head coach noted after the match: Zenit could not count on Kyle Kuric, Igor Volkhin and Josh Carlton in this meeting, however, the players who came on as substitutes coped with their duties perfectly — even though they did not receive very much playing time in recent games.
Now we need to continue in the same spirit! Let's get it, blue-whites!
