Zenit headed off for training camp in Turkey

Zenit main team flew to Antalya, Turkey, where they will continue to prepare for the 2023/24 season. The blue-whites will stay in Turkey until September 11, before which time the team will have time to take part in the traditional pre-season Gloria Cup tournament and hold a friendly match in Istanbul against Fenerbahce.

A year ago, Zenit also took part in the Gloria Cup, but this time the training camp will last a little longer. Interestingly, as last year, one of the rivals at this tournament is Istanbul's Anadolu Efes; the other two are Besiktas and Enisey, which also has training camp in Turkey.

Our team flew to Antalya in full force, with the exception of Denis Zakharov and Bojan Dublevic. The Russian guard continues to recover from the injury he received in January, and the Montenegrin big man together with his national team are participating in the World Cup. Together with the foundation, Pavel Zemskiy, the forward of the farm team, went to the training camp.

After returning from Turkey, Zenit will play on September 15-16 in the Kondrashin and Belov Cup, and on September 22-24 will take part in the VTB United League SuperCup. The start of the season for blue-whites is scheduled for October 2.
