Luka Samanic: "It feels good playing international games"
— Luka, you are amongst best scorers tonight again. Is that a goal?
— I don't think I was the best scorer, but I don't think about scoring. I just want to help if, I mean, rebound, play defense, score, whatever the team needs. And sometimes it happens that I'm the best scorer, sometimes not. But it doesn't matter really.
I think when we play together and when we follow the coach's plan and we play great defense and play tough then we have a really good offense and we're able to score more than 100 points. When we follow the coach's plan and play well in defense, it helps us to attack and gain points, including easy points.
— Can such international games replace the EuroLeague games, and how similar are they to the EuroLeague games?
— It's really hard for me to compare but it feels good to play with some teams that are outside of Russia and hopefully you know we can play even more in the future but yeah good experience for all of us and of course we want to win the cup so that was our that's our only goal. It is difficult to compare EuroLeague and WINLINE Basket Cup, because the tournaments are a bit different.
— How would you describe your synergy with Andrey Martiuk?
— I think we have a really good connection. Sometimes he helps me, sometimes I help him. When I first came I was playing the five and then we were going at each other at practice and now that I play the four as I said we try to help each other offensively and defensively so I think we have a really good connection and I think in the future it's going to be even better.
