Neno Dimitrijevic: "We opened the game with the right energy"
The Blue-White-Sky Blues guard Neno Dimitrijevic analyzed the away game against Moscow’s CSKA (93:88) in an interview with Zenit TV. The player discussed how the team managed to gain a significant advantage at the start of the match and pointed out what went wrong in the final quarter.
— Neno, tell us what was the plan for the start of the game and how you managed to score 31 points in the first quarter?
— I think we opened the game with the right energy. We found open shots and we scored them, so it was a good start of the game. And yeah, I think that was the key that we find the open shots and we made them.
— You were leading and they were chasing for three quarters. What did coach said before final quarter?
— No, just keep playing the same game that we played. It was nothing that we… Like just keep playing the same game, I guess.
— What do you feel about your game your performance today?
— I can always be better. I hope that I can catch a better rhythm next time.
— What happened in the last quarter, is it a question of mentality or they just played better than us?
— Yeah, they were mentally better. I think they knew what they wanted to attack and they attacked it. So I think they were also together for some years and they know each other. We are still a new team, trying to figure it out, so I think it will come.
