Rostislav Vergun

Rostislav Vergun began his coaching career in 2012 with Mogilev’s Borisfen. In the summer of 2014, he moved to Tsmoki Minsk — first as an assistant coach, then as head coach of the reserve team, and from 2019 he led the club’s main team. Together with Tsmoki Minsk, later renamed MINSK, Rostislav Vergun became a six-time Belarusian League champion and a five-time Belarusian Cup winner.
From 2019 to the present, Vergun has served as head coach of the Belarus men’s national basketball team.
From December 2023 to January 2026, the Belarusian specialist was in charge of Yekaterinburg’s Uralmash. Over two years as head coach of the team, Vergun led Uralmash to the VTB United League playoffs twice. In the 2024/25 season, Uralmash, under his guidance, won the Russian Cup for the first time in the club’s history.
In January 2026, Rostislav Vergun joined Zenit’s first team coaching staff as an assistant and was appointed interim head coach.
