Joe Thomasson was not selected in the 2016 NBA draft, prompting him to seek opportunities in Europe. On this side of the ocean, Joe signed a contract with the Bucharest-based team Dinamo, then returned to the G League, before heading back to Europe once again, playing in Poland, Russia (Burevestnik), back to Poland, Israel, and Spain...
In the summer of 2022, Thomasson joined Zenit and played half a season for our club.
