Dejan Borovnjak began his professional career with his hometown club Partizan and in 2008, he moved from Belgrade to Novi Sad and signed a contract with Vojvodina. However, he soon left Serbia and before moving to Russia in 2014, he played in Lithuania, Greece, Spain, Italy, Poland, and Turkey.
