Igor Volkhin was born in the city of Rubtsovsk. He began playing basketball at the age of 8 and at 15, he went to develop in the Khimki system. There, he went through all the teams - from the youth league to the main team.
For the main team, Igor made his debut in 2019, but he spent most of that season in the Superleague, playing for Khimki-Podmoskovye. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the season was ended prematurely, but it didn't prevent Igor from entering the Superleague-1 symbolic five.
In the summer of 2020, Volkhin moved to Zenit. First, he signed a two-year contract with our team, and after its expiration, he concluded another agreement for the same period.
