Shevchuk was born in Saint Petersburg and played for the sports school of the Admiralteyskiy district. In 2015, Kostya won the schoolchildren competition named Spartakiada, and in the 2015/16 season, he moved to CSKA Moscow. After one season, the player returned to Zenit's system, and in the 2019/20 season, he made his debut in both the VTB United League and the Euroleague.
In Zenit, Kostya transferred twice, the second time was in the 2022/23 season when Shevchuk moved from Ufimets.
