To continue his sports career, White chose the Florida State, where he later played in the NCAA. In 2014, White went undrafted in the NBA draft, after which he played for teams such as the Italian club Virtus Bologna and the Greek team Aris Thessaloniki, where he was named the league’s Most Spectacular Player during the 2015/16 season.
On January 17, 2017, White signed a 10-day contract with the Miami Heat to help them deal with numerous injuries, and on February 6, he signed a contract for the rest of the season. The forward played 40 NBA games for the Heat and 3 more games for the Washington Wizards.
Later, White played for American teams such as Capital City Go-Go, Long Island Nets, and Windy City Bulls in the G League. During the 2021/22 season, he played for the Greek team Panathinaikos, participating in the EuroLeague regular season. In the continent's most prestigious tournament, White played 29 games, averaging 8.4 points and 3.7 assists. Together with the club from Athens, the player won the Greek Superсup, and became a Cup and League finalist.
Russian fans know Okaro from his performances for Kazan's UNICS and Krasnodar's Lokomotiv Kuban. The player spent the 2020/21 season in the capital of Tatarstan. With the team, he became a finalist in both the EuroCup and the VTB United League. White joined the Kuban team in January 2023 and spent a season and a half in Krasnodar, again earning silver medals in the United League.
In January 2025, Okaro White joined Zenit.
