— Zenit is heading into its last match of the calendar year. In what mood do you personally and the team approach the game with Uralmash?
— After an unpleasant loss to UNICS, especially at home, we need to show a strong reaction and end the calendar year on a positive note. So we’ll do everything to secure the victory. I’m confident our fans will help us achieve this.
— What strengths can you highlight in the Ekaterinburg team’s game?
— Uralmash’s strengths lie in their solid individual players, both the front and back positions.. They’re a well-rounded team overall. I’m sure the game won’t be easy, as the match in Ekaterinburg was tough as well. That’s why we’re preparing for a hard-fought, intense game and will play accordingly.
— How would you assess the results of the first months of the championship? Is Zenit in the right position in the standings, or could the team have climbed higher?
— Well, not bad on the whole, but it can always be better. Of course, wewould like to finish the calendar year in first place, but we still have half of the season ahead of us. There is time to improve the tournament position. I am sure we will do our best and do everything possible and depending on us.
— What would you like to wish the fans ahead of the upcoming holidays?
— I wish all our fans a great holiday season, plenty of rest, and the energy to step into the New Year with renewed strength. Most importantly, I wish everyone good health and lots of smiles!
