The results of the games of Zenit youth teams in the Semifinal stage of the Russian junior Championship
The first round of the Semifinal stage of the Russian U19 Championship concluded. It was held from December 15 to 20 in Saint Petersburg and Nizhny Tagil.
In group "P1-1", with matches held at the Basketball Academy, the blue-whites were represented by two teams: Zenit U19 and Zenit 2008. The St. Petersburg teams began the competition with a head-to-head game, resulting in a victory for the more experienced squad with a score of 92:65.
By the end of the round, the 2008 team, coached by Petar Marinkovic, was placed fifth in the standings, while Dmitry Nikolaev's wards finished in fourth. Both teams now move to group "P2-2", where they will play in the second round of the Semifinal stage of the Russian Championship.
Simultaneously, in Nizhny Tagil, group "P1-5" games took place, where Zenit 2009 competed. The third youth team from St. Petersburg, coached by Vladislav Shumkov, secured one victory but finished last in their group. In the next round of the Children’s Youth Basketball League semifinal, this team will play in group "P2-6".
