Trent Frazier: "It felt like I was just got here and put on Zenit jersey only one week ago"
St. Petersburg guard Trent Frazier shared his emotions in an interview with Zenit-TV after reaching the mark of 100 matches for the club. After the victory over Enisey (94:86) the player admitted how quickly time has flown by since he joined the team, and also told what a gift the fans gave him.
— I think it's actually an honor, a blessing to be able to make that list, to be able to come out here and represent this club at the highest level I can do every night, play hard and just have fun. Like I said, it's really an honor and it's special to make that list. It was a very exciting day. Obviously to finish it off with the win it felt great but all glory to god for that um that opportunity to be able to come out here be healthy and get to that 100 a game.
— It’s your third season in St. Petersburg. Do you agree that time flies?
— Time definitely flies. I was asking myself and was like wow I'm that old like that fast i was like 100 games that fast and it felt like I was just got here and put on Zenit jersey just one week ago. But now I'm already at a hundred games. But it's awesome feeling to be able to continue in this club. It feels amazing to be able to represent this club.
— It’s a big tradition for our fans to congratulate 100 Club members. What did they give to you after the game?
— Oh they gave me an amazing big. I don't know how to say it but they gave me a big poster with me, with a hundred games on it. It was very very special to me. Zenit fans does a lot even when they travel very very far away in the game so to see that you see me with a big poster over there it felt nice man like I said to top it off with the win energy was amazing tonight. So special shout out to Zenit fans. I really appreciate you guys for your support every night and everything you guys do for us, it means a lot for us.
— Were you surprised that they prepared a gift for you?
— No, I wasn't surprised. This fan base is amazing, if not the best in VTB League. They come every game and show up for us and never in doubt I come out here knowing they're going to be somewhere in the stands supporting us. So it feels amazing that they always have our backs and bringing a lot of energy.
— And what do you plan to do with that picture?
— I'm gonna bring it home and I'm gonna put it right in my living room and post it up my wall. It's gonna be a beautiful frame photo for me.
— Do you have any ideas how much games Sergey Karasev has? (282)
— Probably I'll say that's okay I'll say 600-700. Is it lower? So, I say 300.
— Next home game will be on December 7 against CSKA. Will you miss all the supporters?
— Definitely miss our home crowd but I know Zenit fans will be traveling around Russia with us supporting us so like I said no one doubt I know when I run out that tunnel in away games we're gonna see some blue in there. So that's always exciting to have them around us.
