Zenit U19 became the winners of the 2024 Loko Cup!

The youth team of the blue-whites won all three matches of the pre-season tournament in Krasnodar and became the champions of Loko Cup 2024. The competition took place from September 13 to 15 at the Lokomotiv-Kuban MTC training base and concluded today with a victory over Parma-CYBL.

The first test for Dmitry Nikolaev's team was a game against the team from Nizhny Novgorod, which ended in our favor with a score of 80:75. Despite the close final result on the scoreboard, the blue-whites confidently led throughout the entire game. The top players for Zenit were Alexander Zamansky (16 points + 2 steals), Semyon Ananyin (13 points + 8 assists + 4 rebounds + 2 steals), and Danil Razumny (12 points + 1 rebound + 1 steal).

The next day, the team from St. Petersburg faced a challenge against the tournament hosts, SSOR-Loko-CYBL. In a bright and competitive game, Zenit triumphed with a score of 77:70. Mikhail Padius (21 points + 9 rebounds + 1 assist + 1 steal), Matvey Kozhaev (15 points + 4 assists), and Semyon Ananyin (15 points + 11 assists + 6 rebounds + 1 steal) were the top scorers in this match. Only one more win was needed to secure the Loko Cup title.

Today, on September 15, the final game of the tournament took place for our guys. With a score of 98:68, Parma-CYBL was soundly defeated. The standout players were Anton Suikonen (18 points + 5 rebounds + 3 assists + 1 steal), Mikhail Padius (14 points + 2 rebounds + 2 assists + 1 block), and Vladimir Ershov (13 points + 1 rebound + 2 assists + 3 steals). Semyon Ananyin was named the MVP of the tournament.

Dmitry Nikolaev's team continues their preparation for the upcoming U19 Championship Youth Basketball League.
