Kyle Kuric: "Everything has become much better than it was 5 years ago"

June 23, 2024
Zenit guard Kyle Kuric shared with Zenit TV his emotions from the end of the season and told how he will generally remember his second year in St. Petersburg.

— Kyle, are you satisfied with Zenit's result this season?

— First of all, I want to thank the fans for their support. We didn't achieve the goal we were aiming for, we didn't win the championship, but as I said, we did our best, despite the circumstances. Plus, we ended the season with a victory, so we need to look for a positive in everything, especially before the start of summer.

— You couldn't play in the last matches of the season. How are you feeling now?

— It's getting better, although I still need a little time to recover. But it's already much better than it was before. Of course, it hurt me that I didn't have the opportunity to play and help the team.

— In total, this is already your second season for Zenit, but there was a 5-year-gap between them. Have you noticed any changes in the club?

— A lot of things. Obviously, a lot of people have changed, the academy has appeared, all home games are at the Arena, but the fans are still the same. And the league has become much better than it was then, 5 years ago.

— Is there anything about Russians that still surprises you?

— You can always find something that will surprise you (laughs). This is a unique place and I am very happy to play here.

— How long do you plan to rest after this season?

— Not very much. Due to the injury, I had a few weeks that I spent without basketball, so I'll take 2-3 weeks off and then start preparing for next season.
