Vince Hunter: "I want to prove to myself that wherever I play, I try to win"
— Vince, thank you for this season! What are your impressions?
— It was a good season, but, as everyone has already noted, we lacked something. We can blame a lot of things for this, but we know what's going on, we know how the season turned out and how we struggled. We played for each other. So I'll say this: we didn't achieve our goal, but I had an incredible season, I enjoyed it, I played with these guys and I feel like I've progressed. I am comfortable in St. Petersburg, I like my role here. It's cool.
— How would you rate the year on a scale from 1 to 10?
— I would give this season a seven. A good seven.
— Do you feel you could do more?
— I would just like to show everyone in this league and maybe even outside it that I can fulfill the role that I was given this year. I can be successful in this role. I just want to prove to myself that wherever I play, I try to win, I try to be successful, that I can be part of a winning team.
— What has this season taught you?
— That you may be asked to talk to the press, and I do it all the time (smiles). I don't know where our media lady Maria is now, but she constantly forces me to do media. She's making me do it all the time! But we all love Maria, don't forget, we love her.
— How long are you planning to take a break from basketball?
— I will definitely take 10-15 days off. I think I need it. 10-15 days
