Zenit won VTB League bronze medals

Loko won the third game and thereby extended the season for both themselves and Zenit. This series could have returned to St. Petersburg, but it would be much more pleasant for our team to meet with the fans for the traditional end-of-season farewell rather than in the fifth game of the bronze series.

Loko started the game better with three-point shots, but Zenit managed to keep the Krasnodar team from getting too far ahead.

After a short break, Zenit increased and through the efforts of Heurtel, Frazier and Hunter not only caught up with Lokomotiv, but also ran away into a small gap — the blue-whites defense worked at full speed, the attack regularly brought points. However, at the end of the first half, the hosts gave a 10:0 breakthrough and still managed to keep a quarter — albeit minimally. As a result, the teams went to the locker room with 3 points difference.

In the third quarter, an equal fight continued on the court — Zenit and Loko alternately took the lead, but did not let each other go too far. after Shcherbenev's burst of activity in the attack, Xavi Pascual took a timeout, and after a minute break, the Petersburgers played more confidently in the other half — this helped to leave a quarter with a minimum difference and reach the last ten minutes with only 2 points behind.

In the final quarter, our team caught up with the hosts and ultimately secured the victory with a score of 88-77. With this victory, Zenit won the bronze medals of the VTB United League.
