Zenit vs CSKA. Semifinals preview. Game 5
Previous games
The first four games in this series came out very different — each team won twice, and each time the victories were big. For example, in the last meeting Zenit achieved success with an 18-point advantage, and during the game the handicap went beyond 20 points. At the post-match press conference, the blue-whites head coach Xavi Pascual, was asked why this was happening, and the Spanish coach replied that each team was very comfortable playing as leaders, while it was many times more difficult to play from the position of the defending side. This always happens, but especially in the Zenit and CSKA clashes.
However, Pascual also thinks that now fans should not expect big victories from either team, and the fate of the meetings will be decided in the end by 2-3 successful possessions. Fortunately for Zenit, our team has regained the advantage of the home court, and with the support of its fans, it is much easier to play in clutch.
The draw system after the fourth game implies that the teams will first play in St. Petersburg, then in Moscow, and if necessary return to the decisive meeting in the Northern capital. If this happens, the match is scheduled for May 22.
Go Zenit!
