Zenit wins against CSKA and makes in even in the semis
This became evident from the first minutes, which remained in favor of our team. At the end of the quarter, Zenit had an 8-point lead, which only increased further during the game. At the start of the second quarter Frazier's three-pointer allowed the blue-whites to get a double-digit lead, but CSKA immediately gave a jerk 8:2 and forced Xavi Pascual to ask for a timeout. Fortunately, the army team soon took a timeout - Heurtel, Morgan and Hunter made "+13" for Zenit three and a half minutes before the end of the first half. Until leaving for the locker room, almost nothing had changed, CSKA was able to reduce its gap by just one point.
Zenit also reserved the beginning of the second half: Hunter collected fouls on himself in attack, and in defense our team was able to leave the red-blues without points for more than three minutes. After the timeout, CSKA already gave out an 8-0 breakthrough, but the end of the quarter again remained for the blue-whites.
Zenit came out with an 18-point advantage in the last quarter, which allowed our team to play calmly and without forcing the pace. The quarter began with a three-point Frazier, after which CSKA managed to score only 1 point from the line in a few more minutes… The final score favored Zenit – 91:73 – tying the series 2-2.
