Kondrashin and Belov Cup will be held in St. Petersburg on September 7-8
The sixth edition of the revived Vladimir Kondrashin and Alexander Belov Cup will be held in St. Petersburg on September 7-8. The traditional preseason tournament will take place at CSC Arena and once again bring together some of the top clubs from the VTB United League.
The tournament hosts, Zenit, will compete for the trophy alongside UNICS Kazan, BETCITY PARMA Perm, and MBA Moscow.
The tournament is organized by Zenit BC with the support of the City Committee for Physical Culture and Sports and the St. Petersburg Basketball Federation..
On the opening day, September 7, fans will witness the semifinal matchups, while the decisive games for the championship and the bronze medals will be played on September 8.
The tournament is named in honor of two legendary figures of Leningrad basketball: Honored Coach of the USSR Vladimir Petrovich Kondrashin and Olympic champion Alexander Alexandrovich Belov.
The tournament was first held under its current name in 2002 and later became part of the official FIBA competition calendar. Until 2018, it was organized by the Russian Basketball Federation, allowing national teams to participate in the event.
Since its revival in 2021, the Kondrashin and Belov Cup has become an integral part of teams' preparations for the new season and one of the highlights of the Russian basketball offseason. Each year, the tournament brings together the country's strongest clubs and gives fans their first opportunity to see the updated rosters ahead of the start of official competitions.
In September 2025, the Vladimir Kondrashin and Alexander Belov Cuphas received official status and has been included in the calendar of events under the auspices of the Russian Basketball Federation.
