Andre Roberson: "We can't take any nights off"

Zenit forward Andre Roberson shared his thoughts ahead of the upcoming away game against Pari Nizhny Novgorod. The 37th-round match of the VTB United League regular season will take place tomorrow, April 5, at the Nagorny Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 15:00 Saint Petersburg time. For the Blue-White-Sky Blues team, this is the last away game of the regular season.

— Today was an intensive practice before the last away game of the regular season. How do you feel about the training?

— Today's training was great. We kind of want to finish the season strong, knowing we have a nice stretch of home games coming up. So today was all about our execution. Everyone got on the same page, tried some new things, and we just focused on going out there and executing tomorrow at a high level, with a high level of focus. That's our goal.

— Nizhny Novgorod is on fire with three wins in a row. What can you say about the opponent before the game?

— I mean, like we said before, every opponent is strong. We can't take any nights off, and this is one of those games. They’re on a streak, but so are we. My job is to keep building and focus on ourselves. If we stay locked in and do what we’re supposed to do, nobody can beat us. That's our mindset and goal for tomorrow.

— What would you say is the most dangerous part of Pari NN’s game?

— They play together. They play strong. They play hard. Those are three recipes for a good game. So we got to do the same thing. We know they got a great pick and roll game right now. And they know how to play off each other. So we dial into our game plan and what coach told us to do, then we'll be great.
