Luka Šamanić: "We’ve recovered well and keep working the same way"
Zenit center Luka Šamanić spoke about preparing for the game against MBA-MAI and highlighted the opponent’s strengths. The away game against the Moscow team will take place tomorrow, March 18, and will tip off at 19:00 St. Petersburg time.
— Zenit will play its third away game since the regular season resumed. How are preparation and recovery going?
— Yes, we're playing against MBA-MAI. This is the fourth time we're playing with them, so it's going to be, for sure, a difficult game. We had a difficult trip behind us, but we've recovered well and keep working the same way. We were working the last couple of weeks and we have nine wins in a row, hoping to get a tenth one.
— You are already quite familiar with MBA-MAI. What strengths of the opponent would you highlight?
— Playing really physical, they have a big lineup, playing really hard and they play 40 minutes. I think last game we were up by 20 in the third and it was a close game at the end. So, we have to be focused all 40 minutes.
— MBA-MAI recently won the Russian Cup, which took place in Vladivostok. Could such a time zone shift affect Wednesday’s game?
— I think it can affect, because we went to Krasnoyarsk and it was only a 4 hour difference, and we came to the game like zombies, so I think also for them. And I think they spent more time than us in Vladivostok, so I think it's going to affect them for sure.
