Trent Frazier: "I'm proud that we fought"
The Blue-White-Sky Blues guard Trent Frazier became one of the key heroes of the comeback in the VTB United League SuperCup semifinal against Dubai (107:103). He recorded 22 points, 5 assists, 2 rebounds and 2 steals. In an interview for Zenit TV Trent shared his emotions from the victory in his 150th game for the club.
— Trent, congrats on 150 games with Zenit! How does this milestone feel compared to your 100th game last year?
— It feels amazing, obviously. To be able to continue to play in this jersey, go out there and give my best all night, to play another 50 more games added on to that. It feels amazing, it feels special that the fans, the organization wants me to be a part of this. So it's very special to me. I love putting on this jersey every night and giving my all. And I will continue to do that. I'm blessed for the opportunity and I will continue to give Zenit my all.
— Looking back at these games, which moment or game stands out the most for you personally?
— Out of my 150 games? I would say the best feeling was last year battling against Loko and seven game series, winning that game seven at home, it felt good. The fans were screaming loud, it felt amazing, they were excited to get to the championship. Obviously we felt short but, you know, to be able to take that next milestone and get there, it felt amazing, and I hope that's our goal for this year, to get there and bring the trophy back to St. Petersburg. That was by far my best moment.
— 150 games is a big step. Do you ever think about how far you can go with Zenit — maybe chasing Sergey Karasev’s record one day (now 327 games)?
— I don't want to think about that because that means I'm old. Sergey Karasev is old. I'm not old right now. So I'm chilling. I want to take my time with games. I'm chilling right now.

— You played against Dwayne Bacon. Share your emotions.
— It was special, man. You know, he is my big brother. Whenever we go at it, we know what time it's going to be competitive. We always chirp and talk to each other. It's always fun to play against each other. Like I said, I know every night he steps on that court, I know what we're getting out of him. And it was an honor to play with him last season. He's a special, special, special player. I wish the best for him and I mean, I'm gonna stay tuned on watching his journey.
— We have EuroLeague teams here in SuperCup. Does it feel different from the teams that you see on a regular basis on VTB?
— For sure. I think EuroLeague teams build their team to compete in big games. So, I mean, you kind of got to match that intensity, that level of basketball that you're going to get out every night. So, obviously, EuroLeague, you know, that's a very good organization over there in Dubai. That was a very tough game for us. I'm proud that we fought. That was a good test for us. And it showed that we have a lot of character on this team and we stay together.
— We have finals against CSKA. Is it time for payback?
— Oh, of course. You know, that's a derby right there. Whenever we… It's blood. You know, that's it's always like that. We know it's a derby. It should be a lot of fun tomorrow. We just want to bring that trophy back to St. Petersburg.
