Trent Frazier: "Now we need to shift our mindset to our next opponent"
Blue-whites guard Trent Frazier shared his impressions of the away win in the third game of the quarterfinals against PARMA (74:91) in an interview for Zenit TV. The player highlighted what will be the most important in preparing for the VTB United League semifinals.
— To know whatever came at us, and we had to have that mindset of just, you know, closing out the series in the right way. And knowing that they were going to play tough today, which they did. And I thought we just did a good job for four quarters, just putting our game plan together and executing down the stretch.
— Last year you had to play game number five in the quarterfinals. Were you prepared to do everything to avoid such a situation this time?
— I think the whole mindset going into playoffs is just game-by-game. I mean you can't say or say what you're gonna do or you're not gonna do you know anything happened it's basketball. As long as you come out here every night for four quarters and you play your best and give it all we'll have a shot to win the game. I think our mindset is just go game by game and see what can happen.
— The main thing is to recover now. How many day offs do you need?
— I don't think it's just how many, I just think shifting our mindset now to whoever our next opponent, is preparing for that. We know every stage gets harder and harder so that's our whole mindset. Just preparing for our mind to switch over to the next team and getting ready for that.
— And please say few words to the fans who will attend that first two games in St. Petersburg.
— We're super excited to get back home for the semifinals, round two. You guys did a great job in this first round, coming out, being loud and supporting us. We appreciate you guys every game, especially on the road as well. We can't wait to be back home in CSC Arena.
