Xavi Pascual: "You can't relax for any situation in the playoffs"

Zenit head coach Xavi Pascual summed up the match against Astana (67:101) and commented on the end of the VTB United League regular season.

— One game that on the first 20 minutes was competitive. Astana played very good basketball. We started very well bur after that we stopped to play good in defense. But in the second half from the beginning of the third quarter we started to control the game, took the big advantage and we led the score until the end.

— What can you say about the regular season?

— I think 39 victories and only 5 losses is an amazing record. So I congratulate my players and all the fans for this achievement. Also now we have 20 wins consecutively, so I think we have reasons to be happy. But now playoff is another time. Playoff will start on 22nd for us and it's going to be very difficult. Playoff time is one period of the competition that you can't relax for any situation because one game can change completely in one mistake and especially when you have home advantage you have to be very solid at home.
