Okaro White: "I think it's more for us playing like we are going against the Boston Celtics"

— There's been a long break. How do you feel and how the team feels in common?
— I think we feel good as a team. Me, personally, I'm still trying to get back to season form. But I think we had 4-5 good days of practice. So I think we'll be ready tomorrow.
— It was a tough, very tough week because the practices were long and you were working very hard. How would you evaluate yourself from Monday to Friday?
— Oh, I think there were very tough practices, but we needed it having the time off. I think coach knew this. I felt like the practices were more of like preseason hard practices, which we need. We are athletes, we are professionals, so we needed these practices to try to get back to shape how we were before the break.
— A month ago Astana finally won one game. What are their main strengths?
— To be honest, I don't know. I just got here. I haven't been watching VTB League this year when I was in the States. But I know at the end of the day everyone is a professional basketball player, so I don't really look at the opponent because I'm not familiar with the opponents right now. I just look at how can I play the best and how can we play the best together. I think it's more for us playing like we are going against the Boston Celtics rather than what we're playing the VTB.
— How is the adaptation going? Who do you communicate with mostly here in Zenit?
— I try to communicate with everybody right now to learn everybody. I'm still trying to find my shape and form. When you come to a new team, it kind of takes a while to feel comfortable and do what you best at doing. So I'm still trying to find my role and I'm trying to stay patient with this because I get antsy right now, but I'm not 100 percent. So maybe in another couple of weeks, I'll be 100 percent and I'll be my normal self.
