Zenit-2 head coach Oliver Popovic summed up the home game against Tambov (68:85), which took place as part of the 23rd round of the Fonbet Super League regular season.

Team captain Elkhan Ahmedov also commented on the match result:

The game didn’t go well. We failed the whole match. We only started playing when we were already down by 20 points. You can't play like that. We don’t know how to fix it yet, but we’ll work on this problem. I guess it’s our team’s biggest flaw — because we only start playing when we see "-20" on the scoreboard, instead of from the very beginning.
