Zenit Basketball Academy coaches held a master class at school No. 69
The main goal of the Zenit From Birth project is to help children become part of the Zenit Basketball Club's extended family by providing them with opportunities for athletic and personal growth.
On February 7, a master class was held at Secondary School No. 69 in the Kalininsky District of St. Petersburg, organized by the coaches of the Basketball Academy. The head coach of the Zenit 2008 team Petar Marinkovic and the senior coach of Zenit U19 Halit Vagapov conducted a session for 8th to 11th grade pupils.
The training began with a warm-up led by Marinkovic, after which the specialists thoroughly explained key elements of the game with the students. The schoolchildren practiced ball handling, shooting techniques and defensive basics.
After the master class, participants had the opportunity to ask questions to the coaches and take a group photo. Following the main program, the students were invited to attend the Zenit vs. UNICS match, which would take place on February 13 at the CSC Arena in St. Petersburg.

Petar Marinkovic, head coach of Zenit 2008:
Today, my colleague Khalit and I held a master class. We are very pleased with how eagerly and attentively the children trained. The topics of our master class were dribbling, defensive stance movement and shooting technique. The children had the chance to learn about the work of coaches from one of the best clubs in the country. Our main goal was to inspire and motivate the children. In return, we saw their happy faces and felt their gratitude.

Khalit Vagapov, senior coach of Zenit U21:
Such events positively impact the development of personality and team skills, as well as the ability to play in a team. We hope for continued collaboration and the development of social projects!
