Zenit’s blue-whites guard Alexander Shcherbenev shared his thoughts ahead of the home match against Enisey. He spoke about the team’s preparation for the upcoming game and the first training sessions with the team’s newcomer, Okaro White. — How has the preparation for the match against Enisey gone?
— The preparation has gone great. After our win against CSKA, everyone is in high spirits, and we are fully focused on the upcoming games to maintain our momentum and fight for the chance to finish in first place before the February break.
— What are the strengths of your opponent?
— I would highlight their teamwork and fast-paced play. They have skilled players, so we will do our best to secure a win in this match.
— How did the team welcome Okaro White, and what qualities will he bring to Zenit?
— We welcomed Okaro really well. For me, he’s a very familiar teammate since we crossed paths at Lokomotiv. We are doing our best to help him learn our plays and integrate into the team as quickly as possible. Okaro arrived in excellent shape, and I’m confident he will add quality to our defense and a better understanding of the game in offense. He will also strengthen our rotation. I have no doubts about him — he's a fighter who will help us in all aspects and make us stronger.
